White background is not working #90

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open the editor.
2.Change the background color to white

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The background should be changed to white but It is not changing. Moreover if 
you have some default background color then changing the back ground color from 
some other color to white causing the background color to be changed to default 
background color. 

What version of the product are you using? On what browser?
IE9 browser

Please provide any additional information below.
