When I was trying to program my VEX robotics microcontroller, it returned this error when trying to flash. It is connected firmly into the USB port. I have installed pros and pros-editor. Is this a driver issue? I am running Ubuntu 17.10, PROS Editor (Atom) version 1.21.2 and PROS CLI version 2.6.1. Perhaps this is because I am running Pop!_OS on a system76 laptop. What driver do I need to install?

VEX doesn't provide drivers for Linux-based operating systems, so make sure you are following the instructions here when connecting your cortex to your computer.

TL;DR: you need to connect to the cortex using the VEX programming module if you are using a Linux-based operating system.

I have the same problem. I'm using an old Programming module (before 2012) on a Mac; I have the PROS Editor with Java and Python 3 installed. I make sure that everything is connected to the computer but the same error shows up "No microcontrollers were found". I can't find any help online.

I'm also having this problem, also with a Mac and a pre-2012 programming module. Is PROS only compatible with the new programming module?
