GSS deployment and Shibboleth compatibility #6

We are interested in deploying GSS software in our national grid 
infrastructure (CRO-
NGI), so I have two questions:

1. Is there any documentation how to start (user/installation guide) and 
deploy GSS 
available in English.

2. What version of Shibboleth is used/supported by GSS? We would like to 
support 
user authentication in GSS through SAML 2.0.

Excellent! We'd like to help in any way we can. There is the BUILD.txt file in 
the
source code with instructions for building and installing the service and I've 
just
added a wiki page with its contents, too:

We are currently using Shibboleth 1.3 in production, but I think it should be
possible to use Shibboleth 2.0. The interaction is contained in Apache's 
mod_shib and
the attributes it sends to jboss.

I was in fact wrong about us using Shibboleth 1.3 in production. We've been 
using Shibboleth 2.1 since we 
migrated from the development setup to the production one.
