I have the same problem:(

Fun fact I haven't implemented such feature... I can make it work but it seems to tedious, if there is enough interest or motivation 🤑

maciusde commented 1 year ago

imo its useless, because tidal is not as much popular as spotify and no one have it + discord doesnt support tidal links, but it will be cool feature to some (maybe in future) payed extensions

+1

bump, would love to have this!

ShuriZma commented 1 year ago

well i think i already mentioned it but the join secrets etc arent the best solution for that kind of button anyways. the problem at hand is still the discord library being used that doesnt present the old buttons anymore. those wouldve just allowed to have a clickable link to the listen.tidal.com page or something

Edit: the discord api still supports custom buttons, gameSDK just doesnt support them yet. idk if you can set the custom buttons before the payload is being sent or if you can just extend the gameSDK for those custom buttons yourself (thats probably what i would do). id probably help if id be more accustomed with c languages and if i didnt already catch a warning from discord while working on custom rpcs

If someone has installed the desktop app, you can open a song directly on the app, by triggering a URL

Yeah, it'd be nice if there was a way to hide the button for the time being so it doesn't confuse people. Plus it makes it look like you're listening to music instead of a game (like spotify's status). If that makes sense, lol.
