Logout of Oppia logs me out of Google

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. When I logout of Oppia 
2. My gmail/G+ goes plz log back in
3. I log back into Google & all is well

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What operating system are you using? Chrome/ChromeBook & Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below.

I looked into this a bit and found this blog post which explains how to solve 
it, though we ought to test this carefully since the blog post is a couple of 
years old. Making a note of it here for the time being.

I think the urgency of this is less since you seemed to have solved the
coupled problem which was work gets lost if logged in to long.   When
working in Oppia I tend to leave myself logged in now and then when I quit
Oppia use it as an opportunity to reboot my Chromebook, but that does not
take too long.
