Purpose of code changes on this branch: Add models and classes to handle 
long-running jobs.

Work planned for future commits: add additional infrastructure for map/reduce 
jobs; use this infrastructure to calculate (a) logs for recent changes to 
explorations, (b) gallery views, (c) exploration analytics.

When reviewing my code changes, please focus on: correctness and clarity (if 
you don't understand anything, please ask, since that probably means that the 
code needs some clarification).

After the review, I'll merge this branch into: develop
