It's been a year jquery.autoellipsis don't get any updates. Creator simply don't care anymore it seems.
Right now you can only pass a text string as option. It would be nice to make it possible to provide html as well. Because we often use it in combination with an "read more" link. And now it's not quite easy to append such a link at the end of the text.
