Ctrl+Enter must perform a commit. The text editor has a method that looks for keyboard combinations. Create an event for this and listen to it to perform a commit. There are multiple locations where such a shortcut makes sense.
It looks like this can't be done. It does work when hosted in pending changes (no use) and doesn't when hosted in a dialog (:S).
