Interesting project! So it seems to be possible to turn these ZTU zigbee modules in BLE with your custom firmware. Will order a TS0201 to test. I have a Tuya ZTH05 temp/humidity ordered that will be delivered soon. I read about this ZTH05 the battery drains too fast but it seems that it is equipped with the same ZTU module. So perhaps this ZTH05 could be added to this repo?

The price for the “3 items...” promotion is half the price. image ~ $4

I ordered it, I'll take a look...

TS0201 sensors i ordered arrived, successfully uploaded your firmware, now testing since yesterday, it seems to work great. Thank you very much!

This ZTU module is present in so many China ZB devices, most function without problems but some have firmware flaws and will probably never get an update for example: Tuya GXM-01 (next candidate? 😉)

Also the ZTH05 arrived and seems to work ok out of the box at first glance (battery not drained within 24h and no empty values in zigbee2mqtt)

TS0202_TZ3000 and more https://pvvx.github.io

TS0202_TZ3000 Also have this same device. Pir sensor = BS612

pvvx commented 10 months ago

TS0202_TZ3000 responds to movement for a very long time (ZHA, Home Assistant). Cannot be used to turn on lights. Is this a problem with any of the motion sensors on Zigbee?

Ctrl-F4 commented 10 months ago

Have not yet tested this PIR device in z2m. But i think (ON TIME) can be adjusted with different resistor on the pcb. Seems 2 seconds (BS612 pin 6 to ground) is lowest setting possible.

Some people experience same issue? https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/issues/19105

edit: Soldered ON TIME to GND on the pcb, result is motion is indeed faster cleared.

Thanks, I'll see what I can do https://www.nysenba.com/pir/

ZTH05 TS0601_TZE204

Contains an unknown unnecessary chip in SO-16. A humidity and temperature sensor is connected to this chip. This chip controls the ZTU module... This chip creates unnecessary battery consumption (!). The only possible modification is to throw out this chip and solder jumpers.

Similarly done in TS0601_TZE200

Ctrl-F4 commented 10 months ago

Unfortunately. Strange design choice of manufacturer then. (more expensive to produce?)

pvvx commented 10 months ago

This is due to Tuya decision https://developer.tuya.com/en/docs/iot/tuya-zigbee-module-uart-communication-protocol?id=K9ear5khsqoty

Sorry to ask, but I am not sure now whether or not the TH05 can be flashed with your firmware or not. Looking for an alternative to the Mijia, which cannot be flashed with newer firmware. But I need "normal" BLE so I can relay via esp32 to wifi.
