Generating Web Manifest - frozen (I waited 30 mins) #2134

Closed AndySharez closed 2 years ago

AndySharez commented 2 years ago

Hello, I don't know what is happening: I have a php website (some javascript involved), and no domain for it yet. Just IP adress.

So, after clicking 'start' (for generating a PWA), a new window opens, and it stops at stage: "If your app does not have a web manifest, we are generating one for you."

Nothing moves then. I waited for over 30 mins.

Does anyone has a similar problem?

Does it has to do with my website, or maybe with the browser cache? (which I don't think, as I opened a completely new browser, and pwabuilder.com now for the 1st time).

Thank you

Triaged in ADO here

Hi,

I am sorry, but I cannot login into microsoft/visualstudio for this (I have a microsoft e-mail account).

When I login, I get the respond: Your account, x@hotmail.com is not authorized to view this page. Make sure the URL is correct and your account has access.

Could you maybe just copy/paste the solution here....?

Thanks

So, I have to register with MS azure, to be able to see the link & solution you provided?

Hey @AndySharez , sorry for the delay in communication on this one. We merged a PR yesterday that will let you know ahead of time, before you get stalled on the testing page, that IP addresses are not supported in our current tooling. Id also recommend that you try our new VSCode Extension https://github.com/pwa-builder/pwabuilder-vscode that can run our tests and do other PWABuilder things locally on your code, instead of having to load your app remotely as the site has too.
