Add 'Books' to standard search and make sure that this covers all meta data.
Search should have a option to search by:
Keyword (default) Title Author ISBN Subject Place Person Publisher
and also if possible if e-books box is checked, should show only e-book items. You can ignore the "full text search" for now, will add that feature later on.
I would like the search results to show a thumbnail of the search item, then the name and other info. And a button to open it in the reader if an ebook is present.
I've added a generic search module which is simple to use and seems to work well. See what you think.
the search feature is fine and it works great, can we default it to "books" instead of "everything" ?
Sure, although users tend to find 'everything' best by default because they often don't realise that the search is restricted if you restrict it by default.
Leave it as it is then On Sep 16, 2014 9:41 PM, "Paul Whipp" notifications@github.com wrote:

Will do. We can easily add a 'Search Books' replacement for the general search on the books page later or some such. I'm closing this issue as we've resolved it.
Add front end search that operates over the book meta data.
