Don’t use 4.0.3 use 4.0.2 it’s broken for a12 trust me i know I’m running 13.3 on iPhone XR

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

You might have a problem with your firmware version

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Pwn said to everybody 13.3 is the best firmware to be on you might have to wait for a fix for your firmware version because every iOS version has different offsets which need to be Incorporated into unc0ver which will be a while

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Yeah, I figured that it was screwed so I installed 4.0.1 again.

Random question, are you mainly the only one who replies to issues here?

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Yes

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

When I’m not working

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Soooo there’s no official support or anything anymore?

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

best thing to do is use 4.0.2 if you can and if it doesn’t work just wait pwn is working like crazy on this so just be patient

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

63366F5D-8AE2-4589-8AD6-0071084D0269 I’m still using the private beta because it works the best for iPhone XR and is the only one not showing 0x0 for my ECID

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

I didn’t patch altserver to install 4.0.2, only 4.0.1, and it’s 3:30 am in the morning, so I think I’ll wait

Private beta OS or private beta JB?

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Huh your buttons are green, mine are blue

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Private beta jb before Official release

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

It’s a tweak accent

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

I can make them any color

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Hmm my existence says 0x0 what does that mean? Also, can I please borrow the ipa?

Nice, green is cool

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

I can’t release it I’m sorry it’s not my call and it’s built for iPhone XR from what I understand

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

It could leave your phone a brick

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

I admit I may have kinda really screwed up Cydia and a couple of other things within a couple of days of being jailbroken.

Ok, I totally understand.

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Try to restore rootfs and start over again fresh on 4.0.2

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Or wait for 4.0.4 should be any day now

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

As long as you can jailbreak and go into Cydia just uninstall all the tweaks you installed

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

To what extent will RootFS wipe? I like my tweaks and everything, I just kinda screwed up APT

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

And have no idea how to fix it

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

And I’m not really sure what I did in the first place

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Kind of

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

It will put you back right before you jailbroke think of it like system restore for windows

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Before I jailbroken for the first time, or most recent time?

It’ll wipe all of my tweaks and custom dirs, right?

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

I’m not sure what you did but restore rootfs will fix everything and get your phone working your just going to have to start over again you could try to install Cydia again

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Will I have to install all of my tweaks again?

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Of course

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

When you jailbreak the first time unc0ver takes a snapshot of the system at that time and is saved as rootfs

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Really pwn should of not released the jailbreak it’s not ready if you use checkm8 like I do on my iPhone SE almost every tweak works on unc0ver only a 1/3 of the tweaks work-ish and both phones are on 13.3 so it’s a problem ether with the exploit or unc0ver

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Ok, damn

Unfortunately rootfs’ng isn’t an option for me, as I have quite a bit of data in custom /var/mobile/*/ directories

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Try unchecking all the options and only check off restore rootfs

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Got to walk the dog

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Yeah, well checkra1n uses an A5-A11 only exploit, that was the whole idea behind it.

I think that now that checkra1n and unc0ver 4 are here, people should work on a one-app-jailbreaks-all/web-based jbs/faster jbs for older OSes (~6-12). I mean, I still use iOS 10 on my main phone, and doubleh3lix and totally-not.spyware.lol are sloooooooow compared to everything now-a-days. Plus, exploits for them already exist, so it’s not like you have to discover one.

Ok, see ya, I’ve gotta sleep it’s 4am

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Ok, so it turns out that I have been using v4.0.2 this whole time.

It just says 4.0.1... huh

andre104623 commented 4 years ago

Update uncover to 4.2.1 should fix all your issues and if it does please close the thread it’s getting filled with posts saying the same things and is making a mess here

The-SamminAter commented 4 years ago

Already upgraded, I had forgotten about this issue/thread.
