CI: add builds to package for

We need to add several CI builds to this repository including:

• [ ] running tests
• [ ] building a package and pushing to test / real pypi
• [ ] running linters
• [ ] mypy (optional)
• [ ] building docs

If you want to tackle this issue feel free to only add one of the above.
