What is the problem?

May be intended, in that case just close - the recipe for turd option with moonlight seems to be too good, at least in the py codex (havent researched it yet). There's no seed ingredient, you just get methane and oxygen for a quarter lamp. Since the description says 'improve yield' I thought this may be unintended that the seed ingredient was dropped.

Yep it's intended. I think all three paths have a good argument for being picked.

The downside of path 2 is that without the turd recipes, you can generate both methane and oxygen with zero inputs. This path adds a dependency on glass.
