What is the problem?

Despite the fuel canister-filling recipes appearing in Factoriopedia, empty fuel canisters cannot be placed into barreling machines as an ingredient, resulting in filled fuel canisters being unobtainable. This was tested with only pyindustry and pycoalprocessing enabled.

in 1.1 you had to insert the fluid first - something to do with how furnaces in the engine work - likely that hasn't changed in 2.0

Yep, it hasn't changed. I missed that the input wasn't connected to any fluid in my save. Thank you!
