Update video tutorials #3421

Open rtimms opened 1 year ago

rtimms commented 1 year ago

Our current video tutorials are now getting very out of date. We could do a like-for-like update with new syntax, etc. or cover some new topics as well, so opening this issue to try and get some feedback on what we should cover.

The current tutorials are here:

The idea of the tutorials is to give users a good grasp of the basics, and then showcase more advanced functionality so that users are aware of what they could do in PyBaMM. Unfortunately, a deep dive into every feature of PyBaMM won't be possible!

Let us know what you'd like to see in the tutorials!

I would suggest keeping the tutorial videos and the getting started (user guide?) notebooks exactly aligned. This will make it easier in future to just rerecord the videos as needed by going over the notebooks, rather than needing to figure out new notebooks for the videos. We can also add more "advanced usage" category to the user guide

I think the 'old' topics are about right - just need to be updated.
