I suggest that attendees should know that both exist so that they can make educated choices regarding which to choose to attend depending on their needs, comfort level, schedule, etc. The implication would be that by and large, all write-ups, tweets, blog-posts, etc should mention both OR provide links to more information about both. when the inevitable questions and confusion arises about why there are two mentoring approaches and how are they different/how are they the same... what will be the “official” response?

Also Kushaldas suggested writing a blogpost on the PyCon blog addressing these two questions
