Abstract The first 13 years of my career were spent at Apple and it is from there I draw some of the most important lessons I have learned. One of the most important lessons came from Steve Jobs and touches directly on how I approach software development and life in general.

Target Audience Software Engineers of all level are welcome (Students, Juniors and Seniors)

Speaker Jordan Dea-Mattson is VP of Engineering and leads Carousell’s engineering team. He oversees the development, systems design and delivery of product and infrastructure, as well as the development of a culture of engineering excellence.

He has more than 35 years of experience from Silicon Valley, having spent many of his earlier years in Apple working on the Macintosh up to Mac OS X. After leaving Apple, he took on different engineering roles in Adobe and Yahoo.
