I would like the ability to choose which columns to display in the
playlist. Currently it is rather wide and displays more info than Id like.

I voted for this issue.

Also, it would be very nice if sizes of columns also was retained between
sessions.

Columns can be reordered now, but the position is not remembers. I might work
on that for the 1.0.5 release.

I'd like to comment on the use of Kb and KHz. Kilo as 1000 designator needs to
be written with a lower case k, so kb/sec for kilobits per second and kB/sec
for kilobytes per second. kHz for kilohertz but MHz for megahertz and GHz for
gigahertz. The upper case h is due to to the discoverer of electromagnetic wave
properties Rudolf Heinrich Hertz. The uppercase k stands for the absolute
temperature scale which is named after Lord Kelvin. This is done wrong so many
times that I wonder if this is taught at schools at all nowadays... Not only in
MPlayer but time and again in all sorts of parts of the Linux operating system.
Specifically Americans do this wrong but more and more people copy this error
in other countries.
