What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Own a recent NVidia card and use the closed-source nvidia driver
2. Set Video Output to "vdpau" and add "-vc ffh264vdpau," as extra options
to MPlayer
3. Play some h264 files
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The video starts fine (VDPAU is definitely used) but any window overlapping
on gnome-mplayer will leave the area below grey (forever). Such windows
include gnome-mplayer notification or menu. Going Full screen or resizing
the gnome-mplayer window turns the whole display area grey. Video however
continues to play.
Expected output is obviously to be able to watch the video.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
OS is Fedora 12 (beta) on x86_64
gnome-mplayer-0.9.8-1.fc12.x86_64, I've tried gnome-mplayer svn too, same
issue.
mplayer is recent: mplayer-20091019svn29780-1.fc12.x86_64
gtk2: gtk2-2.18.2-3.fc12.x86_64
Please provide any additional information below.
I've used the "same" title as
http://code.google.com/p/gnome-mplayer/issues/detail?id=297 . However, I
don't see such problems with xv. XV works fine, except when the controls
disappear (screen flickers with "grey", as already reported).
