poking my way through the files to try and work on this myself. any help would be appreciated

I think all pycrest dev have moved away from the game or are already using other libs for ESI actually (bravado, esipy or others).

I'm still around but not actively developing. Where possible I would suggest moving on to Eve's ESI interface and present libs for those. If you need help with anything, shoot and I'll glady assist were possible.
