Auto-generate 3D models using 2D images #17

Overview: Showcasing a prototype that uses GANs to auto-generate 3D models using multi-point 2D images.

Use Cases:

  1. Using an image captured from depth cameras to a create precise 3D objects
  2. Style transfer: The 3d model takes the skin of the environment it is in. Making the object look very real, building a sort of relationship with surrounding objects
  3. Using existing multi-point view images (for objects such as sofas) to create 3D objects
  4. Text (or audio)-to-image synthesis: ability to generate images from sentences/audio

Talk: The talk will cover 1) the neural net set-up - dos and don't with GANs 2) Current prototype - Results, Accuracy, etc. 3) Next iterations - Effect of adding VAE and other contextual parameters 4) Applications in Augmented Reality

Hi Manoj - I will be in India between April 5th and April 17th. I am travelling on 10/11/12 April. Any meet-up happening between April 5 and 9th or between April 13th and 16th ? Sorry for providing so little flexibility.

Hey @tushar0225 and @smilesikand : Slight issue with the meetup venue for the dates. We're shifting it to April 23 (next sunday, after 16th) So sorry for the inconvenience @tushar0225

Maybe we can take this up next time you're in Delhi again in the future 😄
