We are hoping to eventually host a hackathon and the topic of generative music using machine learning and/or evolutionary algorithms, possibly with the two competing in the forms of two teams, has been discussed.
This would be the thread for discussing anything related and giving input about resources, possible realistic tasks for the scope of a weekend, how to make it REALLY fun, and who wants/can help coming up with a useful scenario/framework to get things started for everyone at the actual event. Of course we re always happy for people to help out on-sight as well, so let us know.
For any competing ideas on completely different topics, feel free to discuss here as well.
