When discussing the amount of time a computer takes to perform a task, we use the word "performance". e.g., "My new computer has great performance"
When discussing how well the actors performed at the theater, we use the word "performances". e.g., "The actors' performances were fantastic".
When there are multiple components of a system that have time characteristics, "performance" is still singular.
e.g.,
"Adjusting these settings will impact performance"
Or
"Enabling this setting will impact performance"
