I would prefer git tags, it helps downloading released versions of the original unmodified source. (It especially helps automating notification of new releases.)
Already there are tags but for some reason nothing is tagged after v0.2.8.

Please tag releases. It would greatly improve and help usage, inclusion and packaging of pygments.rb.
I intend to package it for Debian.
A first step would be to just tag the latest release now and then continue tagging succeeding releases.
