After hanging up a call, the next application opened closes immediately

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Dial a SIP extension
2. Hang up the call
3. Start a new application such as dialer

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The new application should start up normally.   Instead the next
application opened after the sipdroid dialer exiting will close immediately
after it is opened.   It appears that if after waiting awhile (maybe 30
seconds) it may not occur, but it is repeatable when opening an application
shortly after exiting a sipdroid call.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

This issue has persisted across all recent versions of sipdroid.  I am
currently running 1.3.13.   Phone is Nexus One.  This occurred with the
stock firmware, however I am currently running CyanogenMon-5.0-N1, and
updated radio.

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?

Problem occurs regardless of which SIP server I use.  Currently using my
own asterisk server, but it had the same result when I experimented with PBXes.

Which type of network are you using?

Occurs on Wifi and 3G

Please provide any additional information below.

It may not be feasible but it would be really nice if android could return
to the dialer after exiting the call.   If it is a technical limitation of
how the dialer hands the call off then home screen on exit is fine, but
quite annoying to have to start the dialer twice, or wait an extended time
period.
