I am having the same comment when connecting on a Sprint HTC Hero running Donut
(1.5)
and sipdroid 1.4

It is connecting to a askerix@home softpbx via the wireless OR 3g.

rings fine, once picked up the call instantly disconnects and states
incompatible
codecs. I have alternated through all of the codec currently in the program and
none
of the correct the issue.

I was receiving the Incompatible Codecs error when making calls under Sipdroid
1.4 with
a Nexus One phone and Android 2.1 using my ISP's SIP server.

Error no longer occurs and calls connect using PCMA (64kbit) under 1.4.1pre.
Much
appreciated. :)

Same here, it works now with 1.14.1pre. Thanks!
Good idea to add the old versions to the download
section, useful in case of unexpected regressions.

Same problem. When I receive a call, it rings once and says error codecs
incompatiable and goes into a missed call status.

I'm on Sipdroid 1.5.4.
SIP is localphone, no PBXes
Phone is HTC Desire firmware 2.1 -update1
WiFi network

1.5.5 beta on Nexus One FRF 91 using Gizmo. On EDGE, setting all non 64-bit
audio codecs to "Always try".

Original comment by alex.hen...@gmail.com on 23 Jul 2010 at 7:55

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Setting all codecs to "always try" seems to work for Gizmo, but audio is choppy
- 64 kbps seems a bit heavy for EDGE. Moved to Ekiga, and seems to be better
(aside from no incoming calls, but that's another issue)

Original comment by alex.hen...@gmail.com on 25 Jul 2010 at 8:38

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
I have narrowed it down to set "Always Try" on PCMA(64bit) worked over Edge
connection but not tested the call quality.

Settings were tested on HTC Desire running Android 2.1 using Sipdroid 1.5.5 beta

My current settings are:
G722 - WLAN/3G
silk24 - Never
silk 16 - Never
silk8 - Never
PCMA 64kbit - Always try
PCMU 64kbit - Never
speex 11kbit - Always try
GSM 13kbit - Always try
BV16 - Never

Are people still having this problem? I found a similar bug and a codefix for
a fork of this app. I wanted to see if it was resolved here.
