Adding a PPTP VPN to Android 2.0.1 breaks SipDroid VPN, including non-PBXes accounts. #370

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start SipDroid, making sure the VPN option is UNCHECKED.
2. Create a New PPTP VPN
3. Enable the PPTP VPN
4. Attempt to use SipDroid

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Upon following these steps (on android 2.0.1) the application will become
unusable until the PPTP VPN is disabled. Once the VPN disabled you cannot
resume using SipDroid until you check the 'Use VPN' Call Option setting,
even though the VPN is disabled.

The expected behavior is for SipDroid to continue functioning as normal,
with or without PPTP VPN connections enabled.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.4 Beta on Android 2.0.1 (Build ESD56)

Which SIP server are you using? What happens with PBXes?
Asterisk 1.6.2.0~rc2

Which type of network are you using?
EVDO

Same problem with Android 2.2.1.
I also tried the patched version posted in Issue #368 where you can type a
network interface for Sipdroid to use but it didn't work as well.
