New Business

  1. would like to check in with us all about the idea behind the council
    • it was inspired by R ladies model, they have overarching leadership teams and then they have work/project teams
    • global volunteers is a channel for active members/advisers where people / we can ask questions, for long term leads or active members. We should use this to ask questions Mariatta, Lorena, Carol, Lynn and other people.
    • Maybe we could make a channel for us, to ask questions. What do we think about that ? This could be a good first step
    • in the PSF, there is no job description for director so lorena is working on this. Maybe we should write in one paragraph what we think that a GC member is and put that out to the new slack group. Lorena has a projects board to share : before every meeting Ewa and lorena talk about what is on the agenda then they put it into their , they use a github projects board with a todo lane with issues assigned to individual people
  2. would like to talk more about pyladies and PSF
    • liaison for the PSF, we should think about the vision of how pyladies should be managed them we should rely on the projects team to work on it
    • that's why this model was set up, council members can be wg members but don't need to.
    • we should be connecting people with people with resources about pyladies and this is the idea. we have the connection to the community. What does pyladies do more than grass-roots ?
  1. for those who are not comfortable with github reach out to lorena and arrange a catch up

I saw this assigned to me. Is this about discussion re: bevy platform? If so, how can I help?
