Hi, when you say you went to the "settings", do you mean the right-click menu when you click inside the page, or the "global" addon settings with the short explanation texts. Because the latter only sets the default for new tabs, it does not deactivate it.
In both areas the "Smart Timing" feature is not selected. I will give you an example of what happens. I'm on a website such as twitch.tv (or any site with a chat box), I have nothing selected other than reload every 15 minutes. I type into the chat box (not URL or anything) and then suddenly the reload every 15 minutes option is gone. Is there really no way to completely deactivate smart timing? It doesn't seem to be turned off even though I don't have it selected through global settings or the actual page that I'm viewing.

@pylorak The same thing happens with me.
This isn't a problem for me anymore. Let me look and see what fixed it. I'll reply later

In the actual options I have sticky reload selected, under smart timing "delay periodic reloading like for any other activity," if general activity is detected at 5 seconds, and then on the actual webpages when you right click and hover over "Reload" Sticky Reload is selected. With these options I'm able to type without the reloading getting canceled.

I do not have Smart Timing turned on, but when I have reload activated on a webpage and I start typing, I get the popup about how the reload was turned off and to deactivate Smart Timing. Again, when I go in the settings it isn't selected. Is there a fix for this? I'm using Firefox 59.0.1 64 bit.
