Describe the bug Error manually creating Backup / Restore

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'setings'
  2. Click on 'Backup / Restore'
  3. Scroll down to 'Backup'
  4. See error

Expected behavior Error manually creating Backup / Restore. When choosing a backup storage location, the inability to search the directory. The error occurred after installing the latest version of Medusa. Error with permission settings?

Debug logs (at least 50 lines): General > Advanced Settings > Enable debug

Fixed in develop branch. Will release later today

Still, after the new version, I can't do a manual backup to a specific folder (/ volume1 / Synology DS218play / Medusa). The message is displayed: Error Error while trying to create backup the log record does not show this error

So selecting the folder works right? I assume it does, as I see it in your screenshot. Are there any errors in your browser console? Could you enable debug logging in medusa, restart, and try again? Then check for any logs while trying the backup.

Apology for the explanation with pictures and some text. I'm an amateur, ie a noob :) I'm trying my best to explain the problem. As you can see from the picture, when trying to create a backup, an error occurs, but the backup file is zipped ... ???

The logs says nothing about the backup process. Also you don't have debug logging enabled. So enable that first. Reboot medusa after. Then I'd recommend trying to get access to your medusa data folder. And zip your application.log.* logs. And send them. You can contact me on discord and PM me if you'd like.

works for me (the backup; did not try restore). i did it with 0.5.27. the backup file is quite large (lots cache-files in it)

Thank you very much for the offer for direct help. I thought I turned on the debug log option in Medusa? I'm sending Medusa logs zip file. Can't find you on Discord Logs.zip ?

I don't see any errors in the log. Also you showed that the zip file is created. So this makes me think the web request to backend is just timing out. Which means your backup is succesfully created. So I don't think there is much to worry about.

Maybe i've fixed the issue for you in latest develop branch commit. You could try switching to develop. And try it.
