Plans for 3.6.8 to be packaged in Debian / Ubuntu #2183

First of all thanks for this great project !

I guess this is not the right place for this request but would love to be pointed in the right direction. I'm migrating systems to ubuntu 24.04 and noticed that pymodbus is not packaged in Ubuntu 24.04 and that the one packaged in the previous version of Ubuntu is pretty old (3.0.0). It seems to be the same in Debian.

I see that v3.6.8 supports Python 3.12. Do you know if there is any work in progress to get that version packaged in Debian / Ubuntu and if now where the request should be made for it to happen ?

I have no idea whatsoever, that is done by the Debian / Ubuntu package managers, have a chat with them.

And just for future reference, issues are for bugs and enhancements, discussions are for this kind of help.
