Email verification fails for protonmail.com address #2527

I tried to register a new account for both testpypi and pypi with a

protonmail.com

eMail-address.

I do get the verification eMail, but after clicking the link and being redirected to test.pypi (or pypi) i'm still being notified to not have a verified e-Mail.

I retried the verification process multiple times for several days.

my e-Mail is: splendor.floris@proton.me my account-name: splendor

Thanks in advance!

Update: I added a secondary eMail from a different provider and the registration went through without an issue.

It seems either protonmail has a problem with the redirection to pypi or pypi cant handle protonmail redirections. As protonmail is highly regarded in some privacy concerned and scientific circles, it would probably not hurt to resolve this issue.

I don't think much has changed specific to Proton, but I can definitely see other user accounts completing email verification successfully since this was posted. Has this still been a recent issue?

Sorry for answering this late. Regarding the ProtonMail issue, it would require me to retry the registraton process. As for now I did it with an alternate eMail provider, which went flawlessly on the first try.
