Reasons for the request

The project with the name Allo is completely empty and has not been updated since 2016. I have a complete software named Allo that would be a much better use of this name. The author does not have visible contact info for me to ask them to delete the package themselves. Additionally, they have many other empty projects that may be taking names from others. I would really appreciate your help with this.

Contact and additional research

I was unable to contact the owner as they did not list any info. I reached out to someone with their name on LinkedIn but received no response. This may not have been the right author. I located their GitHub using one of their other PyPi packages though:

Their profile is private and thus I cannot easily contact them here either.

I was able to contact the owner and they deleted their project. But now I am having another issue. I get the error " The name 'Allo' is too similar to an existing project."

Is there anything I can do to get this issue resolved soon? Like I said, I was able to contact the previous owner and they deleted their package but the issue still stands. I should've had them transfer the project and I apologize for that. We are trying to submit this package as part of a publication and it would be ideal if I could use the actual package name when we submit. Please let me know what I can do here. Thanks!
