Hi @aangelopoulos,
We are working to contact the owner to determine if they're reachable and have sent them a courtesy message.
Final determination regarding project ownership will be made by the PyPI Administrators when the research process is complete.
Thank you so much! Just let me know. Hope you're well.

Reasons for the request Hi, I've got a python package for prediction-powered inference, a statistical technique enabling the use of machine learning for scientific discovery. The paper is here: https://arxiv.org/abs/2301.09633.
The name 'ppi_py' seems suitable, however it seems to clash with 'ppi', which is in use. It not being updated as of 2018, and the e-mail address available online is not accepting new messages; thus, I've gotten no reply. Furthermore, there is no link to a homepage or a github, and the package does not seem to have very much code in it at all.
The reason I would like either one of these names is to keep with the friendly python idea of pip - thing are easy to find, and the name should be consistent with the package name. As I see it, I've fulfilled the criterions listed under PEP-0541 and would like to claim ownership of either 'ppi_py' or 'ppi' to myself. My username on pypi is "aangelopoulos".

Thank you so much for your help! And thank you also to @vidistige, whose request I used as a template.
