Reasons for the request

Hi, I would like to reuse the project name meteor which is no longer maintained.

  1. I tried to contact stnley but his mail is not responding: 64174376+stnley@users.noreply.github.com.
  2. I left an issue on github package but no news...
  3. Our tool was already named meteor in several scientific publications: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0016508520351507 https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/19490976.2022.2044722 but unfortunately it was not published to pypi.
  4. the current package on meteor was not updated since 2022 and has no documentation
