We plan to add more components, and we've built it on top of ipyreact, which means the components in the library integrate better into other ipyreact-based projects (e.g. a custom styling component for antd).
It is a different codebase, and a slightly different API (incompatible), but can be considered maintenance from a user point of view since we wrap the same underlying library.
We plan to continue the version numbering (so we start the new package at 0.2). This means that if there is software that is using the current versions would need to pin ipyantd<0.2.

Hi,
we have build a package ipyantd: https://github.com/widgetti/ipyantd
and recently found out you did the same, and under the same name.
Are you still interested in actively maintaining it?
If not, are you ok with transferring ownership of the Pypi name?
We can release under a version 0.2 and above, so when we are not API
compatible, people can limit to < 0.2 to get your version, and
otherwise upgrade to ours.
Let me know what you think.

Hi,
I was wondering if you received my email.

Hi,
I plan to start a PEP 541 process to acquire the ipyantd name for pypi,
if you object, please let me know this week.
Regards,
Maarten

The project seems abandoned. The last commit is ~5 years ago: https://github.com/g21589/ipyantd as well as the last release https://pypi.org/project/ipyantd/#history
