The maintainer and I previously worked within the Mozilla community. The project has since been deprecated, and the maintainer is no longer responding to requests to reinstate active maintenance of this package.
The OSS community would like to re-acquire this project and continue to maintain and deploy it under the axe-selenium-python name.
For some context, I was the original architect of this project and previously worked at Mozilla. kimberlythegeek worked on my team and we built a tool to assist with accessibility testing and shared the package with the community using PyPI. Kimberly and I have since moved on from Mozilla, but there is community interest in reinvigorating development on it.
Mozilla is in the process of transferring the GitHub repo to the community as they no longer have the ability to maintain it actively.
Kimberly is no longer responding to email, Slack, or GitHub pings, and I would like the maintainer role transferred to my user account.
Here's a thread documenting the conversation with @davehunt at Mozilla, which documents that the project is no longer being maintained. It also includes pings to Kimberly that have gone unanswered.
I suspect the PyPI account is linked to Kimberly's old @mozilla email account, which is no longer active.
