The ITU-Rpy project is a tool that uses the Recommendations from the International Telecommunications Union and generates atmospheric attenuation values for satellite comms systems. It is used heavily in industry and academia but has not been maintained in the past year. During that time a handful of very impactful changes have been made by the governing body that greatly affects the size and cost of x-band and above satellite comms payloads. An issue was opened to address the new recommendations, and I have also opened an issue to suggest the maintenance be handed over to another person. I have forked and updated some of the recs and added new maps. More work needs to be done to bring it to current.
