Legend to Drafting View Fatal Error #2080

Hi All,

I'm experiencing an error trying to convert several Legends to Drafting Views. Wondering if someone could help diagnose the issue.

I've tried twice now trying to convert this Legend into a drafting view - see below: image

This is the error pyRevit is reporting. image

This legend seems to be the only one giving me grief - have tried with other singles as well as other groups of views and the tool works fine. There are some legend components in that, so perhaps that's part of the issue.

It also crashes the model when I attempt to convert that legend - luckily I was smart this time and saved & synced before running the pyRevit tool so no progress lost.

Hi,

The issue is mostly related to the legend components available in the legend view. You may want to select all and filter the view elements to figure out which category is not happy when copying.

Please provide a sample file to reproduce. Best we can do is: handle the issue so that it does not crash, but without a sample file ...
