We need to revamp the documentation, so that it can be generated without catkin.
The catkin part is an extra (and should be minimized). Python way should be preferred to be able to use all the tools around.
Using gitchangelog is probably fine, we might need to review the configuration to match whatever catkin_changelog is doing...
