The problem is twofold.

• Firstly, it's fairly obvious when you've failed (as you probably don't see the event you looked for), and you can retry without penalty. Sure, it takes 15 minutes with each attempt, but there are feats that fix that, and even at 15 minutes you can likely make a lot of attempts.
• Secondly, it restricts the design space for other similar feats, by being generally better than them. The other vision-aiming feats that currently exist all have their own niches, as they aim at events with specified properties, rather than at specific events. But any such feat that aimed at a specific event (and I have some ideas such as "the next time this person visits here" or "the next time you meet this person") is superseded by this one.

The first issue can be fixed my making failure less obvious. Namely, allow the GM to give a false vision of the event occurring, so that a player doesn't know they've failed. This goes some way to fixing the second problem as well, as any other feat wouldn't be totally superseded; it would be more reliable than this. Though it's still something to bear in mind when writing future feats.
