I've updated a few notebooks so far, minus a broken link and a deprecated setup_ax call.

Very cool, thanks for the PR! Does this run on Python 2 as well?

@darribas There is still at least one bug with matplotlib 1.5 (for both Python 2 & 3). Tomorrow or so, @sjsrey will have it fixed and we can check through the notebooks again.

Excellent! The bug with Matplotlib 1.5 should be fixed as of PySAL#719.
