More compact readme #1191

I think we should review the readme for outdated platforms, as well as layout.

Especially the install section is way too crowded.

Maybe the html <details> block can help?

For the record, I only intend to make the install and uninstall sections more compact. I'm very satisfied with the sections before and after that
