The first PyCon was in 2003 My first PyCon US was in 2008 I've missed a bunch here and there but the Python Conferences still remain some of the best collaborative technical conferences in my memory, with open spaces and sprints being my favorite I hope it still retains much of that rebel spirit even though Python has become more mainstream
