Python community events == Python user groups!? #7

I think that the idea of a Community starter kit is exciting. What exactly is your understanding of a community event!? Is it possible to supplement materials for user groups!?

User groups are just the kind of thing this was started for, though you can see not much has happened. There's also a mailing list (https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/group-organizers) but there's not much activity there either....
