Fazer pedido PSF Python Brochure

Está aberto a inscrição para receber gratuitamente a edição impressa da "PSF Python Brochure", uma publicação oficial (em inglês) da Python Software Foundation, que contem casos de sucesso de utilização de Python em grandes empresas e em diversos setores (ok, tem que pagar o custo de envio)

Eu não sei qual é o prazo máximo para fazer o pedido, mas acho que não deve durar muito tempo.

Ola, enviei um email para o pessoal da PythonBrochure perguntando algumas coisas sobre a questão de custos de envio e obtive algumas respostas:

I have three doubts:

[1] What is the shipping cost to send Python Brochure to Brazil? [2] There is a minimum and maximum amount of boxes that I can order? [3] What is the maximum period (date) to order?

You could mention the value of the individual cost for each box size (as mentioned on the site, there are boxes with 10, 50 and 120 copies)

Our purpose is to distribute Python Brochure during Python Brazil conference in October 13th - 17th - 2015

Hi Fabio C. Barrionuevo da Luz, your request is a community event request and will be delivered free of charge for all the box sizes you mention.

The Python Software Foundation backed up by the sponsors of the brochure will pay for the shipping for all of the amount options (10,50,120)

We have also commercial sponsor orders for those who are able to pay to support the project directly. Currently the order pages are disabled due to we went out of stock. 5000 new copies are printed and already under way into our warehouse and some boxes alreday to the PyCon North America in Montreal next month.

You can expect to get your copies and reserve them soon in our online system. If you need two or three boxes for a big conference (South America is big!) it will be OK. Give us a hint how many attendendees you have. e.g. for the 2500 People at PyCon US we shipped 600 last year and went fine.

Do not plan for the swag bag, since too much will go to the garbage.

Thanks for your repeated request. We do this as well as volunteers in our spare time, so some delay occured.

Pelo que entendi, não teremos custo algum (porque é um evento da comunidade Python), bastando somente decidir a quantidade e fazer o pedido.

Ola, conforme orientado pelo @renzon , fiz o pedido de 1 caixa com 120 Cópias, para ser entregue no endereço que o Renzo informou.

Dentro de uma à duas semanas eles devem confirmar ou não o pedido.

Após isso, pode levar até 6 semanas para ser entregue ( acho que pode demorar mais. Minha ultima encomenda ficou 3 meses parada em Curitiba).

Qualquer novidade que eu receber, atualizarei aqui.

Como desde o dia 26 de Março não recebi nenhuma informação sobre a possivel data de entrega, então essa semana resolvi perguntar quando seria:

A resposta foi esta:

Dear Fabio, unfortunately the community order dispatch of the brochures has serious delay since the initial shipping to PyCon US. Due to impact of personal issues to the necessary volunteer work to make the shipping happen, I am currently trying working around to find a solution.

As far as I know your event deadline is: Python Brochure during Python Brazil conference in October 13th - 17th - 2015 I expect we ship within one month latest and will send tracking code.

Usually the dispatch is done by me and my wife weekly beneath our regular work. We took over responsibility for my father in law two month ago. He finally died last week and we are still in some trouble to organize everything. I am very sorry for the delay. Next step is to review the requests and ship them by priority.

Eles devem enviar com no minimo 1 mês de antecedência a data da conferencia.

O pedido do PythonBrochure foi enviado dia 25/08/2015. Ele vai ser entregue na casa do Renzo. Mandei um email para o Renzo com a url de rastreio.
