The following is a non-exhaustive list of what should be done:

[ ] SSL should be on always
[ ] Consolidate the nginx configurations wherever necessary
[ ] Install certbot and setup the cronjob using salt (Did manually now)
[ ] Upgrade deprecated packages
- [ ] Postgres 9.6 -> Postgres -> 12.2
- [ ] Python 2.7 -> Python 3.7 (at least)
- ...To be updated...
[ ] Create a non root user with passwordless sudo to perform all actions
[ ] Refactor salt formulas to work with non-root user

@palnabarun You should have created an issue with the checklist

I started working on the issues long back when we got access to the server.

Feel free to create an issue with the tasks, but the list will keep on changing.
