Could make the map full bleed

@anandology Will it be possible to have this kind of a design? Can the map be positioned correctly to show the marker on the right hand side?

The style of map looks completely different from rest of the site.

How about something like this?

with h2 in yellow background?

If not that, at least having some border on the top might help. what do you think?

That looks a little out of place, not really going with the rest of it.

The full width sections are meant to be different, but follow the same style and idea.

Having a border will kill the clean feel that it has right now.

Ok, drop that idea.

I'm not completely happy with the map. Something is not right. May be height is too small?

I would increase the height of the map by 50px or so. You could also experiment by moving the text into a tooltip which is affixed to the convention centre. The heading Venue is redundant IMO as the map indicates that.

Where is the tooltip? It'll be nice to give instructions for directions and link to google maps somewhere.

I guess the tooltip has to come from the Maps API that you'll be using.
