Please try the latest 4.0 release and let us know if you still have this issue. I also encountered the same problem. After upgrading to the latest version 4.0, the error still cannot be resolved.

This should be fixed in 4.0.2. Can you download the latest version from http://www.itksnap.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php?n=Downloads.SNAP4
